  • The Company Charter is the best place to begin. This document should reflect the company’s overall goals and should explain in concise terms why the company exists.
  • The Mission Statement is another good indicator of the company culture. A mission statement should be justification for a company’s existence and an overall guide. For example, here at SysTech our mission is to provide more value than our client expects while always operating with integrity.

Once we have a handle on the company culture, we can move on to an examination of existing processes. By documenting the steps necessary in the production of an item or service, we discover bottlenecks and often immediate improvements. Our business analysis services are also in great demand for projects. When you decide the best course of action is to upgrade an existing process or market a new product it’s time for a project. A successful project is largely dependent on good groundwork. We use proven methodologies to identify the finished product and use:
  • Stakeholder identification and analysis
  • Work Breakdown  Structure (WBS) analysis to break the project down to manageable tasks. This allows more accurate cost and time estimates
  • RADIO analysis (Risks, Assumptions, Definitions, Issues, and Opportunities) is our integrated approach to:
    • The identification of risks and their ranking according to probability and impact allowing  the proper amount of time and energy to be spent in mitigation strategies.
    • Assumptions must be clarified and agreed upon by all project stakeholders
    • Definitions like assumptions must be mutually agreed upon to prevent confusion and rework in later project stages.
    • Issues will appear during every stage of a project. Project resources must be allocated away from project tasks to deal with them. Proper issue management allows scheduling of resources during slack periods to handle these problems at the most auspicious time.
    • Opportunities abound in the business world. Unfortunately, in the project environment many opportunities are misdiagnosed as risks and subsequently missed entirely.
